Kremetart welcomes ZZ2.

ZZ2 is the new sponsor of the Kremetart Cycling Race.

The ZZ2 brand is used to describe the extensive agricultural activities of Bertie van Zyl (Pty) Ltd, which originated in the Mooketsi Valley in Limpopo, South Africa, 110 years ago. Today, the ZZ2 Group consists of a conglomerate of companies operating in South Africa and Namibia, and exporting fresh produce all over the world.

The brand has become known for the cultivation of tomatoes over decades, but expansions in high-value products such as avocados, cherries, blueberries and almonds are increasingly being undertaken. ZZ2 also grows onions, apples and pears in the Western Cape. Dates are cultivated in southern Namibia. ZZ2 is known for farming according to Natuurboerdery®, a bio-friendly farming philosophy that ensures healthy and affordable food to customers worldwide.

ZZ2’s workforce of approximately 10 000 people is multi-cultural where production, packhouses and marketing teams work closely with specialists such as agronomists, engineers and artisans.

In total, 209 000 tons of fresh produce are currently packed and marketed, making ZZ2 one of the largest companies of its kind nationally and internationally.
