The event uses Time ME for timing which means that you will be issued with a Time Me Chip. One will automatically be allocated to you when entering online.

 

You will receive TWO RACE NUMBERS, ONE for your bike seat (chip is inside)  as indicated below and ONE for your shirt ( Tandems TWO)

 

ENSURE THAT YOUR RACE NUMBER WHICH CONTAIN YOUR CHIP IS ATTACHED CORRECTLY TO THE SEAT OF YOUR BIKE and that you are wearing your ( RED) WRISTBAND for food.

 

Cut-off times for each stage will be 3 hours.
NO HELMET, NO CHIP, NO RIDE
The Cycling South Africa commissaire’s and time – keeping chip decision is FINAL.

CHIPPED STICKER FOR BIKE SEAT

  • Peel off the adhesive strip and paste the sticker on your seat post with the fold line facing to the front of your bike.
  • Smooth the sticker around and join so that the number is visible from both sides.
  • The sticker will not damage your bike and can be removed after the race.
  • Riders may not cut their race numbers in any way.
  • No stickers may be added or removed.
  • If you lose your number, you will be liable for the replacement cost thereof.

 

DO NOT STICK YOUR NUMBER ON YOUR BIKE AND DRIVE LONG DISTANCES OR AT EXTREME SPEEDS WITH THE BIKE ON A CARRIER

 

DISPOSABLE BIB NUMBER

  • Disposable Bib numbers must be properly attached to the BACK of the vest and must not be obscured by clothing etc.
  • Athletes may not cut their race numbers in any way.
  • No stickers may be added or removed.
  • If you lose your number, you will be liable for the replacement cost thereof.
